Description: Responsibilities:
Responsible for researching, pitching and booking news, human interest and feature stories on a daily basis.
Receive pitches, make inquiries, and handle celebrity contacts until bookings are transferred to individual show producers.
Maintain awareness of celebrity projects & pitch to Executive Producer or direct supervisor.
Keep up on current events through Internet, wires, newspapers and magazines.
Initiate and maintain relationships with subjects of ongoing news stories.
Facilitate celebrity bookings.
Coordinate celebrity shoots or produce celebrity segments as required.
Maintain strong contacts with industry entertainment executives.
Pre-interview potential guests for the show.
Coordinate and produce news segments as required.
Negotiate exclusive agreements with prospective guests.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
At least 5-7 years previous booking experience
BA
LAST MINUTE TRAVEL A MUST
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work as part of the Production Team
Solid organizational skills with detail-oriented work habits
