Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Senior Producer/Team Lead, the Assistant Video Editor is responsible for working with support materials to prep courses for finish editor or Preditor by assembling a rough cut of video, graphics, audio and still images.

The Assistant Video Editor’s goal is to maximize the educational experience for the customer by working collaboratively with the Senior Producer and the Graphic Artist on the planning, design, and execution of visual editing decisions in alignment with Teaching Company quality standards and the completion of the course material on time and within budget.

Reports to: Senior Producer

Candidates must be willing to work onsite in our Chantilly, VA office. Length of contracts varies based on project, but most are 8+ weeks.


Major Responsibilities:
Assembling video, graphics and still images into a rough cut in Final Cut Pro
Working with support materials to prep courses for finish editor or Preditor
Working as part of a production team
Staying on schedule
Working directly with editors, producers and graphic artists to assemble, create and manipulate visual elements
Be a good communicator and able to take direction well
Be able to work in a fast-paced production team environment and be able to come up with creative solutions to challenges

Basic Requirements:
Final Cut Pro editing experience
Strong team player
A minimum of two (2) years of hands-on experience as a video editor for a post house/television studio/or other video production
Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
Excellent attention to detail
Able to use both MAC and PC computer applications
Able to give advice and take direction
Proven ability to work within a set schedule and time constratints without sacrificing creativity and quality of final product

Ideal Experience

The ideal candidate for the Assistant Video Editor position at TTC will have:
Working knowledge of Photoshop
Knowledge of any of the following a plus: Motion, Aftereffects, Maya3D, and Adobe Illustrator.

Position Summary:


The Jr. Editor will provide production support to BET Creative Services editorial through managing and editing projects through completion. We have a new facility, AVID based with all the latest gear. The candidate who is an excellent problem solver, effective communicator, valued team member will have opportunities to grow.



Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Edit promos for original/acquired content for BET Creative Services. Ensure consistency in look, tune-in information, and accuracy of all messages.
Ingest and prepare media for edit sessions. Deliver final spots to NOC and off-channel outlets. Properly categorize and document files in digital storage.
Work both independently, and in collaboration with the Writer/Producers and Design team to concept, strategize, and edit Creative Services projects.
Responsible for the timeliness and accuracy of information in the project tracking system (On-Air Pro) for the projects they work on.
Tagging/Re-tagging of promos spots. Split track creations. Support all other creative efforts as needed.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with Writer/Producers, Editors, and Production staff in Creative Services.
Understand all aspects of production, including promo development and use of software systems and department applications.
Work closely with all other BET departments to ensure inclusion of all key messages










Requirements:
1-3 years experience in editing promotional campaigns at a television network or post production facility
Qualified candidates must have production (pre- and/or post-) experience
Advanced experience with Adobe Photo Shop and Adobe After Effects is required
Must have knowledge of Avid Media Composer and/or Symphony system
Must be proficient in reading waveform monitors, vector scopes and audio meters
Experience on interpreting producer ideas and working with editors and support staff is preferred

Knowledge of video/film/graphics/audio production, music editing, and sound effects experience is a plus
Experience in green screen, keying and animation preferred
Must be both MAC and PC proficient
Strong ability to work well under tight deadlines both independently and with groups

The NFL Digital Media Group is looking for a Video Operations Engineer to operate, and maintain the video streaming, delivery infrastructure and related technologies. You will be part of the Digital Video Group, and a team player in keeping the quality of NFL’s video product the best in breed. Must have a solid foundation in encoding and video compression techniques for live and on-demand video streaming environments. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, and have the ability to work in our fast paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for successful delivery of all live streaming events, and VOD content.
• Work closely with product groups and video groups to deliver a high quality of service for the video product
• Configure, develop, test and implement appropriate codec settings for live video and on demand streaming
• Perform analysis, diagnosis and resolution of video encoding/transcoding hardware and implement corrective solutions
• Consult and help implement current and future video products
• Conduct daily inspections of video streaming infrastructure
• Maintain documentation of hardware maintenance, configuration, failures, removal, and installation
• Maintenance and management of all streaming video and audio, including compression, bitrate management, encoding and decoding

Requirements:

• BS degree and/or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years experience in installing, configuring, supporting, and troubleshooting technology surrounding video streaming and delivery (live/on demand).
