Ultimately, they are directly responsible for the quality of content on MTV Style, the success of the Style team, and the development and growth of the brand.
The Senior Editor, MTV Style will report to the Executive Producer of MTV Digital
Responsibilities include:
  • Identifying objectives and helping to shape the strategic direction of MTV Style
  • Setting and managing the MTV Style editorial calendar and daily agenda
  • Maintaining editorial voice and content quality
  • Managing a team of external writers on a daily basis as well as an internal production team
  • Conducting interviews with designers, stylists, and celebrity talent
  • Generating original video concepts and working with Video Production team to produce finished packages
  • Generating editorial concepts for sponsors upon request and working with Ad Sales Production to develop and execute these ideas
  • Tracking and understanding the performance of editorial content based on research reports, audience engagement, and social media
  • Build the MTV Style brand within MTV and the greater online community
  • Developing ways to increase site traffic through SEO, SEM and social media best practices

Required Qualifications/Skills

  • 5+ years in online media that includes writing and editing for a major entertainment and/or fashion brand
