Road Dog Films is in preproduction on an independent feature titled Blood and Circumstance that will be shooting for two weeks in and around Richmond and are looking for a few unpaid interns to work with us.  They will begin filming on October 15th and film two six day weeks.  The majority of the work will take place at the James River Correctional Center in a portion of the prison that has been closed down.  Their work days will typically be from 7am to 7pm.  They are looking for three to six interns that can work with us 2 to 3 days a week starting the week before filming, Oct 8th through wrap Oct 30th.  The interns would work in the production office and on set with the assistant directors to help keep things moving.  Depending on experience and interest interns could also work with the camera and lighting department as well as the art department.

Film work!

Lights, camera, action! Film work used to done mostly on lots in Hollywood or some remote location you never heard of before. Now other states are offering deep discounts to film crews hoping to lure their business. There is an influx of production companies invading the south. North Carolina saw a boom in business in the early 2000's. Now it seems Atlanta is the new film Mecca of the south. Just because you are not in Atlanta doesn't mean you can't find work.
There is film in shooting in VA Beach that is looking for crew members. The lead of this film is Tom Hanks. Check out the Virginia Film Office for more info. A reality show is shooting in Fairfax and southern virginia during the month of June. They are looking for a dedicated production assistant. In Atlanta, there are numerous crew positions posted with the Georgia film office. Step outside the box and work on something different media folks and as usual happy hunting!
